Hey guys,😊

So my last destination in Jaipur was Chokhi Dhani.
Chokhi Dhani

Chokhi  Dhani is like small village which represents Rajasthan’s rural culture. It is a real depiction of traditional Rajasthan with ancient artefacts, paintings, folklore and sculptures.
Chokhi Dhani offers  countless  entertainment options- folk dancesπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ, singing🎡, camel ridesπŸͺ🐫, elephant rides🐘, puppet shows🎎, fortune tellers, acrobatics, predicting parrots🐦, magic shows, horse ridingπŸ‡, boating etc.
Bhavai dance at chokhi dhani

The people at Chokhi Dhani are so welcoming and loving. There are various shops from where you can buy clothes, antiques, show peices etc.

I remember one shop where we saw how block printing was done, and they also offered us to do block printing with them , which was a very good gesture.

We enjoyed every bit of Chokhi Dhani.
It also has an art-gallery, mouth watering food, shopping arcade and royal accommodation.
Everything from the construction to  decor to culture to food  and hospitality gives you the feel of being in a traditional  village.

On the whole, i would like to say that it was a great end to my Jaipur trip.πŸ™‚πŸ˜Š

This place is worth of your visit.πŸ™‚πŸ‘€

Thank you.πŸ˜‰

My next destination ....πŸ˜‡

Hello guys, welcome to my blog.😊

So, my next destination was  JANTAR MANTAR.
JANTAR MANTAR

Jantar Mantar is an astronomical observatory used to measure the distances and positions of celestial objects. India has a total of five such observatories and the largest of which is in Jaipur.

A guide is a must when you visit Jantar Mantar as this place is rich in science and history. There are audio guides also available which explains the significance of each structure and gives a background about astronomy.

Jantar mantar is on a walking distance from city palace. Our guide told us  that it was also  constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II who from a very young age was fascinated by the movement of the celestial objects.

There are total 19 large instruments each serving a very specific purpose. The most significant among these is the Samrat Yantra which is the largest sundial in the country.
SAMRAT YANTRA

We came to know that firstly, these instruments were  made out of wood and the measurements were adjusted just to ensure accuracy. Once the dimensions were perfected the construction was replicated in stone to give us the magnificent Jantar Mantar.

All the instruments are huge in size.

It was very interesting experience as we learnt more about astronomy and history behind these instruments.

And, the best part was light and sound show . It explains the history behind the city of Jaipur and why the Jantar Mantar was constructed.

The light and sound show at the Jantar Mantar is definitely worth your time.😍

Thank you.πŸ‘πŸ˜Š

Hi guys...πŸ˜‰

So, my next destination was city palace😊
CITY PALACE

City palace is located in the heart of the pink city Jaipur.City palace was the place from where the king reigned. This palace also includes chandra mahal and mubarak mahal. City palace completely reflects the richness of rajput royality.

The palace was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. As most structures in Jaipur this palace also reflects the fusion of Mughal and Rajput architecture.

It has a sequence of gardens, buildings and courtyards, temple and museum to give it a grand view that reflects its historical importance and magnificent royal grace.

Our guide told us that Its outer boundary was built by Raja Jai Singh and other structures by his successors .
City palace have many beautiful parts such as Diwan-e aam, Diwan-e-khas, Maharani palace, bagghi khana, govind dev ji temple.
We also watched famous puppet show there, which was full of joy and laughter.

Every part of city palace was pure beauty.

The city palace as a whole is marvelous. It is a paradise for art and history lovers. There is also a section dedicated for the artisans of Jaipur where you can purchase souvenirs. They have traditional paintings made from organic colors and wooden replicas of the monuments. It is the perfect way to take a memory back home.

The city palace is a must visit palace in jaipur.πŸ‘€πŸ‘€

My next destination.πŸ˜‡

Hello guys , welcome to my blog...πŸ‘‹

So, my next destination was HAWA MAHAL🏰
HAWA MAHAL

Hawa Mahal is also known as the “palace of winds”. When i had a very first look of it I was  awestruck by fineness and beauty of its structure. It is beautiful and perfect from all sides.Hawa mahal is considered as the landmark of Jaipur city.   It is said to resemble the honeycomb structure of a bee’s nest. It is build with  pink sandstone and is the finest example of Rajput architecture.

Hawa Mahal was built in the year 1799 for the woman of the royal palace. In medieval India a ‘pardah’ system was followed where the royal woman were not allowed to go outside . In order for royal woman to be connected to the outside world the Hawa Mahal was built. The queens and princesses could look at the various processions and events through the many windows of the Hawa Mahal.

Our guide told us that The palace was constructed from pink sandstone but in 1876 the exterior walls were painted with a calcium oxide paint that gives Jaipur its distinct pink colour. The palace was designed in 1799 by architect Lalchand Usta under the guidance of Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh Marah as an extension of the zenana (woman’s chambers) part of the maharaja’s harem of the City Palace.

This palace have 953 windows also called  (jharokhas)  from where cool air can pass.
INSIDE VEIW OF WINDOW

Our guide also told us that Sawai Pratap Singh was a devotee of Lord Krishna. He asked Lal Chand Usta, the chief architect to design the building to honour the Lord  Krishna in some way. Therefore the Mahal is structured in the shape of Lord Krishna’s crown.

Apart from the beautiful architecture and the breeziness of the palace, there is a museum that is worth a visit. Art and history lovers will really enjoy the terrific collection of antiques, weapons and articles used by royal families.

On the whole, hawa mahal is a complete blessing to explore. Its beauty is worth your visit.πŸ‘ŒπŸ˜

Thank you.😊

JAL MAHAL

Jal mahal is located in middle of Man Sagar lake in Jaipur and is also known as water palace.this place is a fusion of mughal and rajput styles of architecture.

The one most amazing thing we came to know that it is actually a five story building and of the five, four floors remain underwater when the lake is full.
Our guide told us that earlier boats used to take tourists for the tour of  jal mahal but it was stopped few years back.

You can only adore the beauty of this place from outside only as you can not go inside.

Moreover, this place is a paradise for bird watchers as got to watch colourful and different species of birds like pochards  ,kestrels and flamingo.🐀🐦🐦

The beautiful Nahargarh hills set at the backdrop add to the breathtaking beauty of the Jal Mahal.😍

And the most important think you get beautiful pictures clicked😝 with such an amazing and breathtaking background.
